Volleyball 8/24/07 This year the Lady Bulldogs are coached by Head Coach Jennifer Johnson and Assistant Coach Sarah Strangford. The first game of the season was a hit. The Lady Bulldogs won the game with ease beating Baker three out of five games. The Baker Spartans proved a worthy opponent for the Lady Blue's first match of the 2007 season. The Lady Blue worked hard and pulled out of Baker with a win. 8/25/07 The first tri-tournament of the season. Game #1 the Lady Blue played Terry. They had a relatively easy win against the Terry Terriers. Game #2 was against the Jordan Mustangs. The Mustangs were a tough opponent. The Bulldogs fought hard but lost the match. Game #3 was loser out against the Hysham Pirates. Immediately after losing to Jordan the Bulldogs took the court opposite of the Hysham Pirates. The Pirates were tough but the Lady Bulldogs pulled away with a win and secured a place in the championship game with Jordan. Game #4 was once again against the Jordan Mustangs. Jordan came out tough in the championship game. Lady Blue fought hard but fell to Jordan. 8/30/07 The Game started out rough for the Lady Blue but they pulled together and won the game against the Wibaux Longhorns. 8/31/07 The Terry Terriers had a some good hits, it almost looked as if the girls would lose their first game of the season. Lady Bulldogs were not going to let that happen. They turned the game around came home with a victory. 9/8/07 The second tri of the the season the Lady Bulldogs played Rosebud for the first game. The Bulldogs won the game with ease. The second game was against the Jordan Mustangs with having lost twice to them in the past they weren't going to lose this time. The Lady Bulldogs fought with everything they had and if you had been there you would have been on the edge of your seat the whole time. Sad but true the Lady Blue lost to the Jordan Mustangs. 9/11/07 9/14/07 Lady Blue VB team traveled to Terry on Friday to play the Terry Terriers and faced a tough first game losing 14-25. The second game proved much more exiting with the Blue winning 25-21. The third game was, again a close game with the Blue winning 25-21. The Terriers came out in the 4th game to fight it out and pulled away with a 20-25 win. But our Lady Bulldogs dug in deep and fought hard to win the 5th game 15-6. Great Job Lady Blue!!! 9/15/07 The Lady Bulldogs took the court opposite of the much improved Wibaux Longhorns team. The first two games went to Wibaux, both of them close games. The 3rd game went to the Lady Blue, but the Longhorns rallied to win the 4th game and secure the match. 9/21/07 After a disappointing loss to Wibaux last Saturday, the Varsity Bulldogs came out to win. The first game was a close one but the Blue won with a score of 25-22. The second game also went to the Lady Bulldogs with a score of 25-17. The 3rd game and the match belonged to the Blue with a Final score of 25-16. 9/22/07 Willa Nies Tournament CCHS vs. Hysham Lady Bulldogs opened up Saturday's tournament once again taking on the Hysham Pirates. But with a repeat of the night before, the Lady Bulldogs took the match in two games. CCHS vs. Jordan Losing to Jordan was not an option for the Lady Bulldogs. Coming off of their victory against Hysham , the Lady Blue won with a score of 30-28. The second game also was a well fought one. But the Bulldogs secured the match with a final score of 25-15. CCHS vs. Circle The Circle Wildcats were next up for the Lady Blue and fought a tough first game. But the Cats pulled away to post a 19-25 win. The second game also was hard fought but the Blue could not rally and lost the match with a final score of 14-25. CCHS vs. Wibaux The Lady Bulldogs took on the Lady Horns for a chance to make it back into the championship game. The first game was a nail-biter with the scoring being a toss-around. But Wibaux won the first game 26-28. The Lady Blue came out in the 2nd game ready to go and once again kept us on edge, finally winning 27-25. The match winning game was fought hard by the Blue with a tight game. In the end, Wibaux came off the Court with a 16-18 win. 9/29/07 Homecoming weekend the Lady Bulldogs played the Circle Wildcats. Lady Blue were determined this time to beat the Wildcats but to their dismay, the Cats still had more fight in them. The Lady Bulldogs lost all three matches in a row giving the Wildcats the win. 10/06/07 Circle Invitational CCHS vs. Hysham After Hysham was able to beat Jordan the night before they thought they were on top of world. The Lady Bulldogs made sure they weren't up there for long. It was a close game at the beginning but the Lady Bulldogs pulled away with a win. CCHS vs. Jordan The Lady Blue thought they could finally get away with win against Jordan. It was a close match all the way through. The Lady Bulldogs never gave up and kept fighting till the end when the Jordan Mustang pulled away with a win. CCHS vs. Nashua This games was going to be close both teams were rated close in their conference to each other. Blue went into game Knowing they could win and move on the championship. That is just what the blue did they moved on one game closer to the championship. CCHS vs. Scobey Blue went into game with hopes to win. The game was close from beginning to end with the Lady Blue fighting hard every second. There were good kills from the girls and amazing digs from Scobey's hitters. But in the end Lady Blue lost the game. 10/09/07 CCHS vs. Broadus The Lady Bulldogs went against the Hawks with a will wanting to win the game. The Lady Blue went in fighting hard through some calls that were hard on the Bulldogs but they managed to always to get the ball back. The girls fought hard but in the end fell to the Hawks. 10/13/07 CCHS vs. Jordan Lady Blue was confident they were going to win against the Lady Mustangs. If you got to watch the game there were many "nail-biter moments" in the game. Losing the first match the Bulldogs won the second match. The third match was the closest match and a tough one for the Lady Blue. All in all the Jordan Mustangs won the game. 10/19/07 CCHS vs. Hysham Hysham's Senior Night and they were looking for a win but the Lady Blue knew that would not happen. In the first it looked like the Bulldogs were throwing in the towel and that it would be a short game that night. But as the second match went on the Bulldogs where getting fired up. The next three games were close and tough for the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Pirates, but the Bulldogs pulled away with another victory. 10/20/07 CCHS vs. Rosebud The Bulldogs came away with an easy win against the Lady Wranglers. CCHS vs. Circle Circle's Senior Night and they were looking for a win. The Lady Blue fought hard all the way through. If you were in the stands, like I was, you would be proud of the Lady Blue and how they played the game. Everyone got the ball and all the girls talked up the court. After the game many fans from both sides went up to Coach Johnson and told her how great it was to watch the Lady Blue play Circle. In the end the Lady Blue lost to the Circle Wildcats, but they gave them a good fight. District Volleyball Tournament starts 10/24/07 in Hysham. The Lady Blue play the Hysham Pirates on Wednesday at 3:30p.m. Good Luck, Lady Bulldog Volleyball Team!!! District Volleyball Tournament is over and the season is done too. The girls went hard into the tournament with a will wanting to win. The first game was against the Hysham Pirates. Lady Blue won in 3 easy games. Next was the Circle Wildcats; Lady Blue fought hard, but lost to the 'Cats in 3 matches. After that was the was the Terry Terriers. Having not played the Terriers since the beginning of the season, they didn't know if they could match up to them. But the Lady Blue fought hard and came through with a win. The morning game matched Ekalaka and Jordan in a loser-out match. The game to decide third and fourth place found the Lady Blue playing the Hysham Pirates again. The Lady Blue came away with a loss and home with fourth place. |
